Have you ever watched an idea -- a dream -- make the transition to reality? That's what's happening today at FUQUA Winery™. The dream is that of a small super ultra-premium winery dedicated to producing the very finest wines in the world. It means producing a limited volume of hand-crafted, single-vineyard wines that showcase the grape varieties, the vintage and the unique soils and micro-climates of those vineyards. It means no compromises in obtaining the finest physiologically ripe grapes from dedicated growers who share our commitment to the highest quality wines in the world. And it means a dedication to developing and serving a base of loyal customers.
FUQUA Wine Companies™ was formed to build, bond and license a commercial winery in the Dallas area. FUQUA Winery™ now specializes in the production and distribution of super ultra-premium wines using the best grapes coming from the best vineyards in Texas, California, Oregon, Washington and Europe. We like Texas grapes best, but there is a huge shortfall of Texas fruit. Until Texas catches up with demand, we must use grapes from the best vineyards anywhere in the world. FUQUA Winery™ produces small-lot, handcrafted, limited supply, high-end wines for the discriminating palate utilizing the newest state-of-the-art facilities along with the best old world methodology. The goal here is to make the best wines in the world and we are coming very close to that end with many of our wines. If you have any great ideas on how to make better wines, we are always willing to listen. We believe that you can constantly find ways to improve your winemaking techniques. Come by the winery, and taste our wines for free, visit with our winemaker, Lee Foster Fuqua, and take some of our great wines home with you.

for seven days a week, for more than two years, Therefore, the FUQUA Winery will be closed from Thursday March 11 until Monday March 22, 2010. We will be out of the country and out of touch. We will not be checking our messages.
Next Dallas Wine Trail Event: Dallas Wine Trail March 27th 2010 at all 4 Dallas wineriesWe are pleased to announce the next event of the Dallas Wine Trail to be held on March 27 th 2010 at the 4 Dallas wineries. The event will start at 11AM and run until 5PM.
Participant will start at CALAIS Winery or FUQUA Winery where they will pick their wine glass and their wine bottle. Each participant will sample 3 wines at each winery. Light food pairings will be available at each winery. The Dallas Wine Trail is a wine trail that includes the four wineries located in Dallas, Texas:
Personnel from each winery will be present and available to explain the winery’s philosophy, wine profiles and production method used for each wine. All the wines poured will also be available for sale to drink onsite or offsite. Tickets are available for $39 in advance and for $45 the day of the event, if available. The event will be limited to 200 people.

FUQUA Winery is experimenting with ZORK closures.
This closure ensures that no 2,4,6-trichloroanisole (TCA) will be in any of our wines. Unlike screw caps or plastic corks, the ZORK breathes the same as natural cork so our wines will age at the same rate.
FUQUA Winery Wins DOUBLE GOLD at 2009 San Francisco International Wine Competition
The San Francisco International Wine Competition, the largest, most
influential international wine competition in America, is judged by
a prestigious panel of nationally recognized wine experts. The 2009
competition has just been completed and our FUQUA
2006 Tempranillo won a Double Gold Medal. "This is really a big
deal for us" said Lee Fuqua. "Not many Texas
wineries have ever won a
Double Gold Medal in San Francisco."
Double Gold Medals are hard to come by. Getting five
panel members to agree to award a particular wine is difficult. On
those rare occasions when all five wine experts at the table judges
a wine to be worthy of a Gold Medal, the wine is distinguished as a
"Double Gold Medal" winner and is tossed into the "Best of Show"
Sweepstakes award.
FUQUA Winery Tasting Room Open Daily Come by the FUQUA Winery & tasting room and taste some of our wines.
The tasting
room and winery are located near Love Field in Dallas.
